Increase Search Engine Position with YouTube
YouTube, which is owned by Google, has become the second most used Search Engine (1), well above Yahoo and MSN (Live). While this may be a shock to some people, for those that use the web a lot it is a natural progression to use a tool that provides a richer user experience than looking at webpages with static photos. Video is the future, “anything that can be video will be a video” (2). But it goes deeper. Google has introduced a concept of �blended search�, where video media files are presented along with regular text web sites in a search result. Their point is that there are only so many videos, and 50 times that number of web pages so your odds of getting your video ranked higher on a subject based on the search tags in general are better for your video than just a regular web page.
But there is something else going on here. Google only makes money when you click on a sponsored ad. If in a Google search you didn’t click on one of their sponsored ads Google didn’t make any money. What if they got a second chance to get you to click on an ad?
